About the Joint-Use / Collaborative Research Center Activities

The joint-use program for the electron linac and the BST ring at the Electron and Photon Science Center (Mikamine site), Research Center for Accelerator and Radioisotope Science (RARiS), Tohoku University is open for applications twice a year (typically June and December).

Applicants are requested to present their proposals at the proposal presentation meeting. The submitted proposals are then reviewed by the Proposal Review Committee, which determines whether the proposal is accepted and the number of shifts to be allocated.

In addition, we accept rolling applications only for high-urgency test experiments. Please note that proposals submitted through this rolling scheme are not fully coordinated with the machine-time schedule, and even if accepted, the experiment may not be carried out as requested.

As part of our center activities, we also invite proposals for workshops. We provide financial support for participants’ travel expenses and workshop venue costs.
